Roulette chips
American roulette is played with different colored chips. Each player at the table has his own color, which makes it easy to differentiate bets that every player makes. The American casino dealers take the chips off the table with they hands. The chips used here are only for roulette table and cannot be used in another casino games. After finishing your game of roulette the chips have to be exchanged for regular casino chips.
European casinos use standard casino chips for roulette. The Dealer has a long stick known as the Rake to sweep in all chips.
In American Roulette as played in the US, there is only one dealer at the table. A second dealer usually sorts out chips. Five or six players can be seated at one time. There is one double-zero wheel mounted at the end of the betting layout.
In Europe Casinos, the roulette tables have two betting layouts and one single-zero wheel in between. About 12 to 16 players can play at a time. Such a table is served by three Casino employees. The spinner also known as the croupier operates the wheel, and two dealers on either side watch the betting layout and help to place bets.
United States casinos are more relaxed with a casual dress code. The games are fast paced, and tipping the dealer is often encouraged.
